“Things we all need to know”

SCORE Dallas is offering 3-1 hour “Lunch and Learn” workshops at the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce on Sept 9th, Sept 16th, and Sept 23rd. These are being taught on-site at the Chamber. You can sign up for each workshop individually or you can sign up for all 3 at a discount price.

The first workshop – Developing A Digital Marketing Strategy (Sept 9th) is designed to encourage you to develop a strategy before you spend advertising dollars. We explain what a Digital Marketing Strategy is. Your Digital Marketing strategy is just one portion of your overall marketing strategy. You’ll define what goals are important to you and figure out the best method to market your value proposition to your clients. Leave this session knowing what you need to do to build your own strategy.

The second workshop – Optimizing your presence on Facebook (Sept 16th) will teach you the multiple ways to utilize both your personal FB account and your business FB account.  Lean how to place advertising, boost posts, add content including pictures and video. Learn the importance of quality photos and video within your posts. The goal is for you to optimize your advertising dollars while getting the best return on your investment.

The final workshop – The basic uses of Google Analytics (Sept 23d) will help you utilize the free functions that Google provides. SEO is important to your web site. Learn what is working for you and what things are not working. We can’t tell you the algorithm Google ues but we can tell you how to look at the data provided by Google to better understand your web site.

All businesses start with the intention of becoming successful, and most of those businesses start with a product or service that could get them there, but after a few years, many of those same businesses struggle to find success. How could this be? One main reason could be that they started without a marketing budget or plan. They don’t understand marketing and they don’t understand how important marketing is in making their business a success. This class will cover:

  • Marketing basics
  • Driving awareness of your business, product or service
  • Elements of a marketing plan
  • Goal planning
  • Marketing budget planning
  • Online marketing, including search and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Tactics including a focus on social media planning
  • Innovation and Ideation

After taking this class, you should understand the basics of marketing, the definition of an impression, the goals of an impression and the types of general tactics that you can use to help drive awareness.
